Palomares ('pigeon houses') is the first village north of Vera Playa: with plenty of flat, coastal, agricultural land, it's a rapidly developing area, with property prices currently somewhat lower than it's neighbours. The village, until recently purely agricultural, has all services, banks, shops, bars and facilities.
